Can I obtain a Dealer License with a criminal record?
Yes, you can still get a dealer license in California with a Felony or Misdemeanor conviction.
- The DMV does not require you to report convictions that occurred more than 10 years ago.
- Traffic offenses, including DUI convictions, do not need to be disclosed.
- Failing to disclose a prior felony conviction could result in a lifetime ban from obtaining a license.
- Keep in mind, the DMV evaluates each case individually based on these guidelines.
